One thing that consistently holds us back from feeling better as
ambitious moms called to meaningful work outside motherhood is that
we're really good actresses. We carry a belief that we need to
pretend that we're okay - that's everything is fine - even when
it's not. So many of us resist the reality of how we are feeling in
our everyday lives because we don't want to complain. We feel
grateful for all that we have in our lives - and we feel guilty for
feeling terrible much of the time. We don't want to admit to the
thoughts we think and the feelings we feel because we fear what
that means about us. Are we ungrateful? Selfish? Are we inadequate
- incapable of pursuing the work we're called to while still
keeping our faith and families a priority? The truth is that we're
human. And sometimes, the expectations we have for who we should be
and how life should feel are far from reality. The truth is that
motherhood is hard. And motherhood as a mom building a business or
career is also hard - but just because it's hard, doesn't mean it
isn't possible. Just because it's hard doesn't mean it isn't worth
it. In this episode, I want to empower and encourage you to stop
pretending. Avoiding problems or sweeping them under the rug and
acting as though everything is "fine" is a recipe for a life that
feels like just going through the motions and missing out on what
matters most.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• How pretending
everything is okay keeps you stuck
• Why we're afraid to admit that "something needs to change"
• Why we pretend we're not struggling
• The first step in getting your life back and feeling better

DESIGN YOUR YEAR - the live planning event for creating an
intentional 2022.
Design Your Year is going to help you rethink what’s working well
and what isn’t so that you can get clear and create MORE of what
you want in your life, and less of what you don’t. Over four days,
I’m going to guide you, combining both mindset and strategy as you
design an intentional roadmap for 2022. This isn’t so much about
new year’s resolutions as it is about what you want to DO in 2022
and who you want to become. You can join Design Your Year and focus
on your personal life only, your business or career or ALL of the
above. You’ll get the white space to think and dream and determine
what you want to focus your time, energy and attention on most. And
you don’t have to do it alone.
Design Your Year kicks off on December 6th which means before
you even step into the holidays, you’ll going to have made
decisions and put plans in place to make 2022 your best year
yet.
The new year has never looked better. Join Design
