There is a problem in the world of online business, creative
entrepreneurship, education, and coaching… and the problem is that
of MORE. I notice it when words like abundance are tossed around…
because what they are often truly rooted in is a place of scarcity.
We’re told that we should constantly want more, be more and do more
so that we can get more.
We’re sold this story that to be successful means that your
business should be seeing exponential growth year after year. We
hear it so much that we start to believe it. And then, when our
reality doesn’t look like the messaging we’re hearing of what it is
to be “successful”, we decide it’s not enough. We’re not enough. We
aren’t doing enough. We aren’t successful enough, smart enough,
flexible enough, we aren’t growing fast enough or earning enough
money. And the only answer to “not enough” seems to be MORE.
This mindset of MORE is a dangerous place to be. Especially for
those of us whose values make it clear that we are not willing to
do whatever it takes. We aren't willing to compromise what matters
most to us, our time, our families, our faith – in order to have a
profitable business.
When we aren’t willing to do whatever it takes as moms in business,
we have to be very intentional to do this one thing: DEFINE
ENOUGH.
On this episode of the podcast, you'll
learn:
• Why you constantly feel behind and defeated in life and
business
• What it means to define "enough" in your days and in your
business
• One thing you can do to feel satisfied and accomplished at
the end of your work day
• Why so many of us feel busy, but not productive
• How defining "enough" in terms of business revenue will
change how it feels to lead your business
• What a strategic intent is and why you need one
• How defining enough will change what your days feel
like
Sometimes, we don’t realize how deep the thoughts and beliefs
that are running our lives really are. And if you feel like you
should be beyond this already, this shouldn’t be a problem, or you
should be able to figure this out on your own, you might be wrong.
Motherhood and business can be so isolating, but you don’t have to
do this on your own. If you’d love the support of a mindset coach
who can help you get out of your way, and a business mentor who can
help you with marketing strategy and the next steps toward building
a business you don’t want to quit, let’s chat.
